Minimum Requirements for Representation

To uphold the standards PCI has maintained since 1995, all candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of high-level culinary experience.
  • Pedigree: A verified background in high-end restaurants, Michelin-starred establishments, James Beard-recognized venues, or 5-star luxury hotels.
  • Private Sector Expertise: A documented history of professional service for ultra-high-networth residences.
  • Independence: The proven ability to operate independently in luxury residential environments.
  • Verifiable Professional References: Candidates must provide contact information for verifiable references from previous private household engagements.
  • Accepted references include: Client Representatives (Estate Managers, Personal Assistants, or Family Office Directors) and Principals.
  • Specialization: Demonstrated mastery in health-forward and restrictive diets as well as modern wellness-focused cuisine styles, including: Gluten-Free, Vegan, Vegetarian, Keto/Paleo, Anti-Inflammatory, Kosher, Longevity Programs, Sports Nutrition, and Blue Zones–inspired cooking.

Professional Standards

Qualified chefs must demonstrate:

  • Advanced Culinary Excellence: Mastery of fine-dining techniques and sophisticated plate presentation.
  • Bespoke Service: Ability to create customized menu planning tailored to specific client preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Premium Sourcing: Extensive experience sourcing the highest quality premium ingredients and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Interpersonal Protocol: Absolute discretion, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
  • Household Dynamics: A deep understanding of private service protocols and the nuances of working within a luxury household.
