A family of four (2 adults and 2 school age children) seeking a flexible chef for their home in NYC and auxiliary homes in the Hamptons and Colorado.
SCHEDULE: 5days per week, usually Monday through Friday.
FLEXIBILITY IS VERY KEY TO THIS POSITION.
MEALS: Lunch for 2 adults 12-2pm (sometimes no lunch is required)
Snack (meal) for one child after school
Dinner for family, timing can be from 630-830pm
CUISINE STYLES: All styles enjoyed, Healthy proteins and lots of vegetables.
ENTERTAINING: Once per week, usually on Fridays. Parties from 8 to 18 people. Usually, buffet style and sometimes formal plated dinners. Extra help is brought in for more than 8 people.
TRAVEL: auxiliary homes in Aspen, Colorado and the Hamptons in Summer. Travel is required for the chef to accompany the family to CO during Christmas holiday period, president’s week, and early summer. Hamptons house is utilized in late summer. Travel expenses and housing are provided at all locations.
COMPENSATION: Includes salary, medical, 401k, paid vacation.
The ideal chef for this role is a highly adaptable, service oriented, discreet individual with strong culinary and organizational skills along with few to no, personal attachments. The chef must be prepared for a wide range of situations, from intimate family meals to impromptu dinner guests, while maintaining a low-profile presence
