POSITION OVERVIEW:An exceptional opportunity awaits a Michelin-Trained Private Chef to work in a luxury estate setting, where you’ll have access to the finest ingredients and the freedom to innovate within a creative culinary environment. This lovely couple is seeking a chef with a strong background in diverse cuisines to deliver outstanding daily meals and cater for elegant dinner parties and events. This role offers growth and expansion of your culinary expertise, working with seasonal and premium ingredients, and continually developing your skills.

SCHEDULE: 5 DAYS PER WEEK
MEALS: LUNCH AND DINNER DAILY
- ENTERTAINING & EVENT CATERING:
- Plan and execute exquisite meals for events, including multi-course dinners, hors d’oeuvres, and thematic culinary experiences, ensuring guests are treated to unforgettable dining.
- Work closely with the Butler and Under Butler to perfect meal presentation and service, creating seamless and luxurious events that exceed expectations.
- Customize, curate menus for holidays and family gatherings, enhancing each celebration with exceptional cuisine.
- KITCHEN MANAGEMENT & SANITATION:
- Manage kitchen inventory and ordering, ensuring premium ingredients are always available while minimizing waste.
- Maintain an impeccably clean and organized kitchen that meets the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Conduct regular deep cleaning and maintain organization of kitchen spaces, creating an environment conducive to culinary excellence.
- CULINARY CREATIVITY & INNOVATION:
- Continually experiment with new dishes, techniques, and flavor combinations to keep meals exciting, varied, and in line with the family’s evolving tastes.
- Stay ahead of culinary trends and incorporate new ideas into your work, fostering an environment where creativity and culinary growth are encouraged.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a private chef, ideally for a family or estate that values culinary creativity and fine dining.
- Longer term (not just stagiaires) Michelin-starred restaurant or equivalent experience w/mastery of global cuisines
- Expertise in sourcing premium ingredients and working with a network of high-quality suppliers.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to balance daily meals, special events, and flight catering.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with w/household staff, inc: Butler& Under Butler.
- Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules, holiday events, and last-minute requests.
- Ability to live in during summer months in New Jersey and adapt to traveling between multiple residences.
- Applicant should be interested in innovation and trying new techniques and types of cuisine
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Competitive salary based on experience and 200 workdays per year.
- Fully paid health insurance, 3 weeks paid time off (PTO), 1-week sick time, and 401(k) Relocation expenses are NEGOTIABLE on case-by-case basis.
