Family of 3- 6 adults seeking a full-time chef for their primary home in Kings Point, NY with summer in Amagansett NY.
SCHEDULE: 5 days per week with Mon- Tues. off. Some flexibility is expected to switch days off, if needed
MEALS: Lunch and dinner daily with some variation in timing to be directed by the principals.
CUISINE: Healthy, Mediterranean cuisines, Asian Fusion, Middle eastern, crudos are all favorites with lots of spices, citruses and big on flavor. Grilled fish and meats along with some raw. European cuisines and beach styles as would be found in St. Tropez and St Barts etc. are all preferred. A general understanding of Kosher rules and any experience with Kosher is a big plus. Family in not strict Kosher.
The chef should also be capable of executing formal dinner parties with plated courses if needed.
TRAVEL: The month of August the chef is required to work at the Amagansett property. If commutable, that is preferred otherwise housing can be discussed for the right candidate.
The ideal chef has previous HNW family experience and expertise in the cuisines above listed along with Kosher familiarity. This is not a strict kosher household.
- The chef should reside within a commutable distance and have their own vehicle.
- The chef is provided with accounts for shopping and will be reimbursed for gas with receipts.
- The chef is solely responsible for pantry and kitchen organization along with daily cleanliness.
- The chef is done for the day once the kitchen is cleaned and all items are stored etc.
COMPENSATION: SALARY ONLY DOE, plus 2 weeks paid vacation to start to be taken when mutually agreed upon. No other benefits offered.
