Kosher couple seeking a part time, year round chef for their home in Palm Beach
SCHEDULE: Wednesdays and Fridays every week
Schedule to be mapped out in advance for chef and will include Jewish holidays, Thanksgiving and more. Weekly, steady days are Wed and Fri.
Wednesday, Light lunch for 2-3 (salad and protein) and dinner for up to 6 including guests.
Friday, Light lunch for 2-3. Then Shabbats dinner for 10 and up to 12 normally ending around 930-10pm.
Salads and cooked proteins to be left in fridge for weekend self serve. Housekeepers will help plate and serve dinner and assist chef in kitchen clean up if more that the 2 principals.
CUISINE: Kosher, all principles to be followed, no meat with dairy, no shellfish etc. Simple, wholesome food. Light on the sauces and no modern extreme presentations required.
KITCHEN: large, easily workable kitchen with separate refrigerators and dishwashers etc. Kosher kitchen.
TRAVEL: no travel required.
An ideal chef has great references, preferably familiar with working in a Kosher kitchen (but principal is willing to train on these protocols if necessary), is dependable, organized, pleasant to work with and a team player with other staff, a non-smoker, dog friendly and does not wear colognes or perfumes. Principals are sensitive to fragrances.
