A PRIVATE EXECUTIVE CHEF (EC) is needed to provide superior culinary services to a multigenerational family of approximately 20 people, that can flex up to ~40, considering the generous guest hosting the family does throughout the season.

Service is provided at a private home in the Chautauqua Institution on Lake Chautauqua in Western NY. If qualifying chef has a partner or spouse to serve as a sous chef this will be considered.

APPROX. DATES: June 24 – August 18, 2023 – 9 weeks total. Adjustment to dates may occur due to family arrival/departure and set up and break down before and after season.

WORK SCHEDULE 5-1/2 days/week. Saturday off, Sunday mornings off. Meals: Lunch (typically 12:30 pm) and Dinner (typically 6:30 pm) Monday-Friday; Dinner only on Sundays. Time of meals may be adjusted with advance notice. Hours: approximately 10am – 9pm, depending on demand and prep needs for meal schedule. Family or buffet Style service with auxiliary staff assistance. All cuisines styles enjoyed.

HOUSING: Private Room/bath and Board on premise but separate from main house will be provided for chef and sous chef if applicable.
