Two adults seeking a yearound Vegan chef for their homes in Sag harbor, NY and Palm Beach, FL.
LOCATIONS: Sag Harbor, NY (Mid-April – December)
Palm Beach, FL (January -March)
SCHEDULE: 5 DAYS PER WEEK –Sunday Monday off
EMPLOYER PROFILE: 2 adults with 2 staff members, 2 dogs. Casual setting.
CUISINE: VEGAN and Gluten free cuisine using best local ingredients and sourcing elsewhere as needed
MEALS: Lunch approx. 1230 Dinner approx. 7pm
HOUSING: off premise housing is provided in both locations. In Palm Beach, 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment on the beach 5 minutes away from main house. This will accommodate a spouse or significant other. In Sag harbor, an apartment will be rented year round for the successful candidate.
ENTERTAINING: Usually once per week for up to 8 people for dinner.
TRAVEL: Aspen, CO, 1 week at Christmas time and March and chef will accompany. Employer travels one week in August and chef can take vacation during that week in addition to another week with timing to be mutually agreed upon.
COMPENSATION: Salary depends on the candidate and negotiation is possible within current market rate parameters. Medical is offered with the 2 weeks of paid vacation. A vehicle is available at each location for shopping. Holiday compensation is negotiable.
The ideal chef is a vegan themselves and therefore understands the ingredients and the critical sourcing of good ingredients to provide the best nutrition and fulfilling enjoyment of the cuisine.
