A family of four (2 adults, 2 children, ages 6 and 4) seeking a private chef for their home in Washington DC.
SCHEDULE: Monday and Wednesday. Days are guaranteed year-round even when the family goes on vacation. Vacation times are usually between Christmas and New year’s, Spring break and 2 weeks in summer.
MEALS: Monday visit, includes Monday’s dinner left ready to be served. Tuesday’s lunch and dinner to be left in fridge containerized with reheating instructions etc.
Wednesday visit, includes Wednesday’s dinner left ready to be served. Thursday’s lunch and dinner to be left in fridge containerized with reheating instructions etc.
Once per week the chef is asked to leave some baked goods for the family.
CUISINE: all styles enjoyed i.e. Italian, French, Mediterranean, Asian. All meals should be scratch made, lean on the healthier side, and made with organic, best and freshest ingredients. No allergies.
The ideal chef will be highly organized, work cleanly and will menu plan, shop, (farmers market is a favorite purveyor) arrive at the house, prepare all meals and leave the current day’s dinner ready to be self-served. The chef would leave once the kitchen and all surfaces have been cleaned and pantry, fridge etc. are organized. The chef should be certified as serve safe or have taken a similar course.
Lunches are for the 2 adults only and usually is a nice salad with a protein like grilled chicken or a grain bowl with protein or a sustaining soup like lentil etc.
Dinners are for the 4 of them and children eat as the parents eat. No special foods for kids.
