Prominent couple with 2 grown children seeking a full time private chef for daily meals and entertaining as needed.
START DATE: ready to interview and hire.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday with some flexibility if entertaining.
MEALS: Lunch (1230-1pm) Dinner (around 630 pm) breakfast items to be left in fridge.
CUISINE STYLE: Farm to table and fresh using seasonal produce and lots of herbs for flavoring. Mr. eats a more paleo diet with protein and Mrs. eats more whole grains and vegetables with little proteins. No allergies. Some styles enjoyed are Asian and more gourmet styles would be utilized for entertaining. Son eats all and Daughter is vegetarian.
ENTERTAINING: small dinner parties twice per month for up to 8 people and a few larger scale events for up to 20 people occasionally. Fundraisers and similar type events and any additional help will be added as needed.
TRAVEL: couple travel to alternate home abroad mostly in summer for 3-4 weeks and sometimes on holidays for shorter stays. Chef will not accompany and would take vacation time during those periods.
Ideal chef is experienced, organized, clean and handles employer’s environment and possessions with care. Chef should have a fine dining background and enjoys being creative and produce beautifully plated meals. Chef will shop, menu plan, execute and serve healthy simple fare for couple and children (when in town) but will do fine dining menus for entertaining purposes. Daily service is casual, and kitchen is expected to be kept organized and clean at all times. There is one live out housekeeper that does not require meals. Staff here and at alternate home have been with them for over 20 years. Longevity is very attainable with this employer.
COMPENSATION: Salary only position. Medical stipend is negotiable. Paid vacation and time off when family travels.
