Family of 2 adults seeking a well-rounded, live out, full-time chef for their home in Columbus, Ohio
Client travels from main home in New Hampshire to Columbus where their business office is located. Also, in Columbus is extended family (mother and sister). Employer is in Columbus approximately 4 months out of the year, but time frames are not definite therefore successful chef candidate will be available to cook for the principals when they are in town and when not, chef will cook for Mother and possibly sister in the Columbus area.
MEALS: LUNCH AND DINNER DAILY with meals left for reheating for days off. Dinner is usually 3 courses. Salad or appetizers, main and dessert.
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday with weekends off with flexibility if client is in town and requires weekend service.
CUISINE: Mediterranean, Italian, French, Asian fusion etc. all scratch made items including desserts
Ideal candidate will have amiable personality, be easy to work with and respectful with other long-term staff. Familiar but non-intrusive. Important traits are being very well organized and committed to kitchen cleanliness. Creativity is also important using the best ingredients and capable of making all from scratch from breads to desserts as needed. Able to follow some family recipes. Organization is key and chef must excel on keeping inventory with pantry and refrigerator stocked at all times. Employer enjoys gourmet foods along with scratch made comfort foods so chef should have a fine dining background to meet culinary expectations.
COMPENSATION: FT Salary and full benefits package including PTO, 401k
